Biographical Info

Paul C. Focazio oversees the development and production of the coastal science program’s Web site (, e-newsletter and all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube).
Focazio writes and disseminates NYSG’s content quarterly via New York Coastlines, the program’s flagship publication, and a “Social Media Review” at He also maintains NYSG’s numerous resource sites for extension specialists and a number of special research and education initiatives.
NYSG, a cooperative program of Cornell University and the State University of New York, is one of 33 university-based programs under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Sea Grant College Program. For over 50 years, Sea Grant has been engaging with a network of the nation’s top universities to conduct scientific research, education, training and extension projects that help foster science-based decisions about the use and conservation of our aquatic resources.
