DAVID NORTH is adept in applying the skills and principles of journalism to help viewers, readers and listeners throughout the range of traditional and contemporary media grasp issues and make informed decisions.

David may be best known on Long Island for his many years as a news anchor, correspondent, and Web-reporter for WALK- 97.5, where he covered significant local events and met the people affected by them; such as the TWA Flight 800 Disaster, the terror attacks of 9/11, the Great Northeast Blackout, and Superstorm Sandy.  His television credentials include experience as a reporter, assignment editor, and news director for companies in New England, and on Long Island as a recurring panelist on News12 Long Island’s “Reporter RoundTable,” and producer for News12’s “Long Island Talks.”

Frequent television appearances attracted the attention of editors at the Long Island Press, who engaged David as a freelance reporter and, later, coordinator of their High School Journalism outreach program. Dave also anchored the “Newsday.com NewsMinute” for NEWSDAY, who frequently published his editorials on subjects of local and national interest.
