Ann Marie Gothard is Vice President, Corporate Media Relations for Henry Schein, Inc. In this role, she leads all strategic media relations for the company’s corporate brand, including its core business units – dental, medical, and technology and value-added services – and Henry Schein Cares, the company’s global corporate social responsibility program.
A seasoned communications professional, Ann Marie’s experience in the health care industry spans nearly two decades, across sectors, and geographies. Prior to joining Henry Schein, she was Senior Director, Communications Strategy, for EmblemHealth. She has also led marketing and communications for The Mount Sinai Medical Center, global communications and branding for ORBIS International, internal and business communications for Aetna, and held leadership positions at several boutique PR firms, representing clients in the automotive, energy, and government sectors.
In addition to supporting Henry Schein’s philanthropic initiatives, Ann Marie is involved with a number of nonprofit organizations. She is a board member of the Academy of Dentistry International Foundation, the Associate Board of NAF, and a communications advisor to Pride Live, where she co-founded Stonewall Day, a national day of awareness that is recognized each year on June 28 to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Riots. Ann Marie is also a founding member of Henry Schein’s Women’s Leadership Network and Executive Sponsor of Pride & Allies, an employee resource group. She earned her BA in Government from Georgetown University, where she achieved athletic honors as a member of the women’s basketball team.
