Biographical Info

Jeffrey S. Morosoff is director of Hofstra University’s graduate program in public relations and an associate professor at Hofstra, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in PR and media.

Prior to joining Hofstra, Professor Morosoff’s 27-year professional career included public relations and communications work at Cablevision, Long Island Association, Town of Babylon, New York Institute of Technology, and Nassau Community College. He received Hofstra’s 2016 Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award, the 2015 Public Relations Professionals of Long Island (PRPLI) Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2000 International Association of Business Communicators’ Achievement in Communications Award. Morosoff served as PRPLI’s president from 1995-97 and 2006-07.

Professor Morosoff serves on the advisory board of the Museum of Public Relations and is a member of PRPLI, Public Relations Society of America, New York State Communication Association, Eastern Communication Association, and Association for Education in Journalism and Media Studies. He is also faculty adviser to Hofstra’s award-winning Public Relations Student Society of America chapter.
