It’s a great pleasure to welcome you to the Fair Media Council’s annual Folio Awards. I thank all of you for being here! I am honored to hold this position, because like you, I feel that it is important that the media is held to the belief that good reporting is essential to our community.
It takes the support of the region to create the Folio Awards, and about 40 business and community leaders to adjudicate the program. Meet the great people deciding what Long Islanders want to see, read and hear in its news.
Meet the people who power the organization. The Fair Media Council has served the public interest in media matters since 1979. Today, it’s one of the oldest, most successful media watchdog organizations in the country.
