Boot Camp Takes On The Olympics! Reserve Now for July 15

Businesses and nonprofits using social media are urged to attend the Fair Media Council’s Summer Social Media Boot Camp, the Olympic Edition, on Friday, July 15, 7.30 a.m. to 12 noon at South Nassau Communities Hospital Conference Center in Oceanside, N.Y. The comprehensive agenda focuses on best practices, strategy and execution — so attendees can return to work and put their new knowledge into play.

With a relaxed dress code of shorts and flip flops, social media experts will discuss the social media strategy behind the Summer Games; give an inside look at Mashable and what its covering; find out how the growing threat of cybercrime is impacting businesses everywhere; discover where your customers are with the latest demographics behind today’s most popular and rising social media channels; improve your social media customer service and learn how to find the voice of your brand in online channels.

“Last year’s boot camp brought 225 people from Long Island, New York City and Northern New Jersey together to learn from our speakers as well as each other,” said Fair Media Council CEO Jaci Clement. “We’ve moved boot camp to a bigger location this year, but one that’s readily accessible by car or train. This is for all skill levels, and the speakers and our hosts, South Nassau Communities Hospital, are working hard to ensure everyone will enjoy the friendly atmosphere.”

In addition to an incredible array of expert speakers, the event also features ‘therapy sessions’: one-on-one time with a social media expert during the networking breaks, so attendees can get answers to pressing work-related social media questions. And, the Flip Flop Throwdown is back! The best flip flops tricked out to represent their favorite country competing in the Olympics in Rio in August will win a prize.
