Social media speakers are sought for the Fair Media Council’s sixth annual Social Media Boot Camp, Long Island’s favorite summer event!
We’re looking for the best social media speakers to share their expertise on social media best practices, trends, big data collection and analysis, and more. At this event, we seek to provide organizations with the information they need to strengthen their brands, improve their marketing and customer service, and remain top-of-mind with their customers and clients.
Submit your topic idea to be either a solo presenter or part of a panel discussion and provide your background and prior speaking experience. Include video clips, if you have them. Presentations and discussions are no longer than 30 minutes, so please keep that in mind.
“‘What do people need to know right now to be successful’ is the question our presenters ultimately need to answer in their presentations,” said Jaci Clement, Fair Media Council CEO and executive director.
FMC’s sixth annual Social Media Boot Camp will be held on Friday, July 15, 7.30 a.m. – 12 noon at a new location: South Nassau Communities Hospital Conference Center (it’s snazzy), One Healthy Way, Oceanside, N.Y. The conference center is easily accessible by car or LIRR.
Hundreds of businesses and nonprofits from the tri-state area attend this annual event, which focuses on using social media for business purposes. All skill levels are welcome, from novice to advanced. Dress code is shorts and flip flops, because we want everyone to connect on a social level. Continental breakfast, networking and refreshment breaks are built-in throughout the morning’s program. Wifi access is available, so please bring laptops or tablets.
We thank our partner, South Nassau Communities Hospital, for its generosity in hosting this year’s boot camp.
The Fair Media Council works to create a media savvy society, and that includes the need to be social media savvy.
Please apply to be a social media speaker by March 30. Email the requested info to info@fairmediacouncil.org
