Folio Awards Magazine To Debut June 17

Folio Awards Magazine To Debut June 17

It’s a keeper.

The inaugural Folio Awards magazine makes its debut on June 17 as part of our celebration honoring the best in news and social media. But it does much more than provide winners’ information: It showcases Long Island, the home base of the Fair Media Council.

Featuring stunning photography from artist Asia Lee, the magazine features scenes from across Long Island during the four seasons. Support for the project from the community was so strong the magazine sold out of advertising space in less than one month.

Tickets to attend the Fair Media Council Folio Awards are still available, but selling quickly. The celebration will be held on Friday, June 17, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, Long Island, N.Y.  This will be an outdoor event, weather permitting. Proof of vaccination will be required at the door. Find updated Folio event information here.

ABOUT FMC FOLIO AWARDS

The Folio Awards bring FMC’s mission to life: The Folio Award-winning news and social media campaigns provide concrete examples of what the public wants and needs in its newsfeed, and the event provides a high-powered forum for showcasing the results to the news media and community together.

The Folio Awards’ judging process helps create a media-savvy public. Using an exclusive scorecard method, judges are taught how to break down news and information in a variety of categories to help them assess information and view it from a critical point of view. The lessons learned from the judging process are easily incorporated into daily news and information habits.

Major sponsors Bethpage Federal Credit Union and Northwell Health helped make this event possible.
