Mark your calendar to attend the Fair Media Council’s Summer Social Media Boot Camp on Friday, July 14, 2017, from 7.30 a.m. to 12 noon at South Nassau Communities Hospital Conference Center in Oceanside, N.Y.

The half-day event is designed to help businesses and nonprofits of all sizes and skill levels to help build their brands, grow their organizations and take advantage of cutting-edge developments in media and technology to streamline workloads.

Hosted at South Nassau Communities Hospital’s state-of-the-art conference center, the Fair Media Council’s Summer Social Media Boot Camp will be in its seventh year. Hundreds of organizations from Long Island, New York City and Northern New Jersey have attended, participated and taken best practices back to their respective workplaces.

Event sponsors are sought, as the Fair Media Council is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

The dress code is shorts and flip flops — even for speakers — which makes for a relaxed atmosphere for learning and networking.

The event is less than a mile from the LIRR train station,  making for an easy commute for attendees. It is also one-half mile from Freeport’s famed Nautical Mile, which is the perfect place for lunch and sightseeing after the event.
