He celebrated the milestone with family and friends last night. Among them: former boss, Suffolk Supreme Court Judge Arthur G. Pitts. Bert Cunningham. Ken Young. Laurie Bloom. And Wendy O’Neill, too!
And Then This Happened …
The French press reports Altice has run into trouble over its attempts to fully own its flagship, SFR.
Allegations have surfaced that some of those charged with oversight of Altice actually have a vested interest in the company. Minority shareholders are angry at how the stock price has plummeted, and are voicing opposition. And maybe Altice took over SFR’s management before it had been given the green light? Emails directly from the big boss have allegedly been uncovered. If proven, that alone could amount to a fine of 500 million euros — the biggest ever levied on a French operator.
A two-week delay in a ruling on the takeover is now in place, to figure all this stuff out. In the meantime, things aren’t so rosy in Portugal either.

Sept. 23 is the deadline to submit a claim form in the Marchese v. Cablevision settlement.
It will take about 45 seconds to file online, as long as you have this info handy: Your account number, the address where service was received and the approximate dates of service. If you had multiple accounts in the 2004 to 2016 time frame, you don’t need the prior account numbers; simply the address and estimated dates of service.
