Because every business is at risk, cybercrime is one of the featured presentations at the Fair Media Council’s Summer Social Media Boot Camp on Friday, July 15.

A fast-growing epidemic, cybercrime is predicted to be a $2.1 trillion problem by 2019. That means businesses need to plan now in order to combat the dark side of the web.
Speaking on the topic at boot camp will be Steve Morgan, founder and CEO at Cybersecurity Ventures, a research and media firm with offices in Menlo Park, CA and Long Island.

Steve is a Forbes Contributor covering Cybersecurity. He writes the weekly Cybersecurity Business Report blog for IDG’s CSO, a leading security media property.
Steve’s articles and blogs have appeared in numerous tech industry media including Computerworld, Infoworld, CIO, and others. His firm is frequently cited and quoted by major newspapers, financial journals, and business media.
“We’re really excited to have Steve with us and speaking on this incredibly important and timely topic,” said Jaci Clement, Fair Media Council CEO and Executive Director.
The Fair Media Council’s Summer Social Media Boot Camp is one of Long Island’s favorite summer events — notable for its content, its networking and its relaxed dress code of shorts and flip flops. This year’s event is at a new location — the state-of-the-art conference center at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside — and is sponsored by: Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Northwell Health, South Nassau Communities Hospital, Briarcliffe College, Farmingdale State College, Alure Home Improvements, PSEG Long Island and WeiserMazars LLP.
