The Fair Media Council Folio Award for Lifetime Achievement in News honors the extraordinary accomplishments of journalists and news professionals who have dedicated their careers to upholding the highest standards of journalism. This prestigious award celebrates a lifetime of impact, integrity, and unwavering commitment to informing the public and strengthening our democracy through quality news. Nominate a distinguished individual who has shaped the media landscape and inspired future generations.
Criteria – Eligibility requirements for nominees include:
  • Career Length: Candidates must have at least 25 years of experience in journalism or news-related professions.
  • Significant Contributions: The individual must have made a lasting impact on the field of news and journalism, through their reporting, leadership, or advocacy for media integrity.
  • Commitment to Ethical Standards: Nominees must demonstrate a consistent commitment to ethical news and information and upholding the public’s right to quality, truthful information.
  • Nominations: Anyone can submit a nomination, and self-nominations are welcome.
