Folio Award Judges, Class of 2025
The Folio Awards are where both sides of the Fair Media Council’s mission come together: Media accountability and media literacy. Through the judging process, business and community leaders, academics, former journalists, and students learn how to identify quality journalism and credible digital media. They are guided through what makes a story fair, relevant, accurate, and impactful—building critical media literacy skills that stay with them long after judging ends.
At the same time, what wins a Folio Award sends a clear message back to newsrooms and content creators: This is the kind of storytelling the public values. That feedback helps shape the modern media landscape—raising standards, influencing coverage, and promoting ethical, community-first reporting. Folio judging isn’t just about selecting winners. It’s about creating a more informed public and a stronger news and media environment.
