Using social media for work? Then you’re eligible to enter the Fair Media Council’s Folio Awards.
Because the Folio Awards are judged by the public, winning is among the highest of honors. A Folio Award social media winner has tapped the pulse of the public at large, which has long been the hallmark of the Folio Awards that are now more than 30 years old. (Originally, the Folio Awards focused on honoring local news media stories, and that part of the awards program continues.)
The awards luncheon is the biggest media event on Long Island — drawing an impressive and exclusive audience of media, business and community leaders from the greater New York metro area — and winners have earned new business, enjoyed recognition and landed better jobs.
The Fair Media Council’s Folio Awards, honoring the best in social media, has an entry deadline of midnight, Dec. 20, 2016 via FMC’s online entry system.
Businesses and nonprofits, agencies and the news media are all eligible to enter. The social media category has nearly doubled since its introduction more than five years ago, and now includes 20 distinct ways to win. In addition, new categories are always being created, and this year’s new categories include:
- Public Service
- Best Promoter
- Pinterest Master
- Media Upstart
