March 6 Event Focuses on Changing Digital Landscape

HUNTINGTON, N.Y.  — The Fair Media Council is hosting a must-attend masterclass, “AI, Algorithms & Paywalls: Navigating the New Media Landscape,” on Thursday, ​M​arch 6, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at LaunchPad Huntington. This “crash course” event is tailored for business and nonprofit leaders to understand how rapid changes in the digital media landscape are transforming audience reach, increasing budget demands, and requiring new skills and strategies for marketing and media relations success.

The masterclass will feature engaging presentations and actionable insights from industry thought leaders, including:

  • James Cohen, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Media Studies at Queens College​
  • ​Steve Rubel, media strategist, formerly of Edelman

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how artificial intelligence and algorithms are reshaping the media landscape, making it essential for organizations to adopt innovative approaches to remain relevant and effective.​
