Deadline to Enter Folio Awards EXTENDED to Feb. 18

The Fair Media Council Folio Awards call for entries is now open, with the final deadline for entry now extended until midnight,  Feb. 18, 2022. The extension is due to the heavy news cycle related to weather on the east coast. 

FMC’s Folio Awards honor the best in news and social media. This year, new  categories have been introduced, ranging from news coverage of the event of  Jan. 6 to best podcast. Also new: We’ve created a Folio Awards microsite, dedicated to providing all of the information you need to enter, right at your fingertips. More good news: We’ve streamlined the entry process to make it faster and easier to enter.

News outlets and freelancers are eligible to enter news on the Long Island hyperlocal, New York City regional, and National news levels. (Please note: regional and national news entries do not need to have a Long Island news component.) Professional and student entries are encouraged. Entries must have been broadcast or published during the 2021 calendar year.

The Folio Awards for Social Media are open to all. Campaigns must educate, enlighten or inspire, and must have been live for a portion of 2021.
